One of my favorite "spots" in our home are these built in shelves as you walk into the kitchen. I just love the crisp white molding and the fact that I can display some of my happies. To be honest, it was one of the main reasons that I really wanted to purchase this house. I imagine our next home will have lots of these nooks throughout. Well, here is what this spot has looked like for the past few months...
Not too bad our anything. I liked it because it displayed some of my favorite photos of family and friends but I was getting just a little bit tired of the way this area looked.
All I needed was a little inspiration from my friend Brandi and my wheels got to turning. I knew that I wanted to change this area to a seasonal summer display in honor of our family's love for the beach. Here is what I came up with...
So, what do you think?
I love the way it turned out and until our trip to the beach later on this summer this will keep me dreaming of the sounds of waves and my toes in the sand.

I love it! The beach theme looks great, warm relaxing colors. It will be fun for you to change this with the seasons.
I love those little indentions in walls like that. They are a big space saver.
