When will it be Spring?

Spring

Has anyone else been asking yourself this question lately?  I know that I sure have.  I cannot wait for warm, sunny days filled with family walks, playing outside with sidewalk chalk, and lots of counting down to this new little spring chicken making his/her arrival in the weeks ahead.

I am not sure how many of you follow us on our little daily sidebar over there to the right ----> but if you do then you know that we have had a lot going on these past few weeks.  Most of it has been related to the nasty stomach bug.  So far it has made 3 rounds throughout our home these past 2 weeks and what I hope to be it’s final round ending with me.   No fun for Mommy (or Daddy) but we have survived and I am sure that we are closer as a family because of it.  I mean…  Why else would God have invented that nasty stuff?

Speaking of Spring…  Did you notice that fun little book up there at the top?  That is just one of the many fun books that we have been enjoying these past few weeks.  Here are a couple more…

Tacky
I got this for the kids right before the Winter Olympics and they love it!

Rabbit
Is there anything better than reading Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail while you wait for Spring to come?

Oh and in light of this past month, Caleb Davis is completely obsessed fascinated with learning about these 2 gentlemen…

This is a really cute one about his 2 boys – Tad and Willie.

I do not know about you but my kids love to read and I would rather buy books than I would toys so we have quite a library collection built up around here.  My trick is that I tend to put them out in “seasons” or during the specific holidays.  For instance, I am getting out my Spring decorations this weekend so all of our Easter and Spring books will also come out of hiding and go into what the kids fondly call our “Seasons Basket”.  This also applies to movies too but we do not tend to collect as many of those as we do books around here.

Ok…  So I just totally got off on a totally different note there with this post.  Sorry about that!!

All that to say…  We are here – alive and kicking (especially Baby Elmore) - so thanks for continuing to visit our little website and I will do my best to get back to regular postings.

so glad you're all feeling better! :) daddy brought home a cold in our house from his last business trip...that's what's been going through our house. :(

looks like lots of fun reading! we have seasonal books too that rotate...it makes them more enjoyable when they are "new" each time!
