Wow! Has it really been 1 month since I last updated this thing? No wonder some of you have been checking up on us and telling me to update the ‘ole blog. Summer has just flown by and I am kind of sad to see this last week come to an end. School starts up for us on Monday and while we are really excited to start that new chapter, I really do love the lazy days of summer.
We decided that with all the oil craziness down at the Gulf that we would stay close to home this summer. We have several trips planned for this fall + I am really trying to talk Josh into a weekend Disney getaway for Nate’s birthday. The 3 of us are dying to go back!! Anyway back to my original thought… We never made it down to the beach this summer, which means we never got our annual family ocean shot so this will just have to do…
These outfits would have looked a lot cuter with the sand in our toes but we really enjoyed our “Staycation” down in Gordo this past weekend. Caleb Davis and Emma Lee even decided to stay a tad bit longer, which means that I am getting lots of extra play time with Nate and Joy Lynn this week.
Oh and 1 more random thought… Don’t you just love the new blog header? I saw all our shoes piled up the other day and an idea was born. I am planning a long canvas of that one to go in our laundry room over the door. Would love a cute saying to go with it. Any ideas?

It has been a long time and I almost thought to try and email to make sure you were OK. I'm sorry you missed out on the beach vacation, but those pictures are still adorable. Great header...if I was creative I could help with a saying. I'll be interested to see what you come up with.
Love the pictures! Our summer has just flown by too! I really like that idea for the shoes picture in your laundry room. You could always put up "The Best Journey Always Takes Us Home." I'm trying to think of a shoe saying, but don't have one. I'll keep thinking :) Let me know if you want me to use my cricut and cut it out of vinyl for you!

How about "walking the walk" or "home is where you rest your feet". Not great but maybe it will spark something great in your mind.
I love the new banner as well! Love the fact that some are upright one way, some another. SEem to show all the different personalities!
I love the family photo and the shoes picture is so awesome :) Emma Lee has gotten so big and grown so much hair. Will be thinking about a saying/phrase and get back to you if anything comes to mind.
