Menu Monday + Weekend Review

Menu_Monday

Whew!  Not sure about all of you but that was one fast weekend.  I think we are spoiled by all those extra holidays and snow delays that we have had lately.

Here’s a look at what is on our menu this week…

  • Monday – Philly Cheesesteak + Corn on Cob + Salad
  • Tuesday – Tater Tot Hotdish + Green Beans + Salad.
  • Wednesday – Dinner at church.
  • Thursday – Tacos + Refried Beans + Chips and Salsa
  • Friday – Creamy Italian Chicken Pasta + Garlic Bread + Salad
  • Saturday – Crockpot Chicken + Wild Rice + Veggies
  • Sunday – Lunch plans with family.

I am also planning to make some yummy bread + cheesy chive dip (appetizers) and pretzel hugs (dessert) one night this week.  As far as the rest of this week, it looks pretty “normal” with an added Show and Tell for school on Friday and our regular Tuesday night dinner guest.  One of our friends from college is in town for a few months for work training and he has been stopping by once a week to visit and have dinner with us.  We have really enjoyed our time together but we do miss April and the boys!!

I mentioned that this weekend went by really fast and it did but thinking back, I am not quite sure exactly what all we did.  The camera is pretty empty but I did take a few photos…

Our dishwasher arrived on Friday so Josh stayed up late that night installing it.  It looks great and we love it.

On Saturday, Joy Lynn had a milestone by eating in her high chair for the 1st time…

She actually really enjoyed sitting there for lunch but I was just not able to get any cute photos of her smiling.  Josh also set up for “Miss Kay” to come over Saturday afternoon to watch the littles so that we could go out (according to Caleb Davis) on a “hot date”.  We ended up at Terranova’s for lunch (our 1st time there and I highly recommend it) and actually going to the mall to stroll around (haven’t done that in years) and of course, we had to visit Target + Starbucks before heading home.  Sorry no pictures from the “hot date”.  Bullet_Smiley_1

Oh but wait, I do…  Josh and I ducked into one of those fun photo booths at the mall.  Again, we have not done this in YEARS but it was a lot of fun.

The story behind that last one…  He squeezed my leg to make me laugh and I totally ducked out on him.
Of course, that one is my favorite.

Sunday was one of those whirlwind days where we left our house at 9:00 am for church and we did not return home until late that evening.  We had a wonderful day of bible study, worship, lunch with sweet friends, went to look at a house (possibly our new home), back to church for a deacon’s meeting, and choir.  We actually skipped out on evening church and Emma Lee’s Puggles class and headed home early (mainly because Mommy was wiped out by that point) but we did snap a few quick photos of Caleb Davis and Joy Lynn before heading out the door that morning…

He is growing up way too fast

And she is too!!

Hated to leave out #2 and #3 but they were already in the van buckled up and ready to go so I will try to catch them next week.

Ok, so now I know what we did all weekend but it still went by way too fast!!

Hey Jamie! I made your Italian Chicken Pasta last week (it just sounded so good :)) and it was a huge hit at our house. I only had about 5 minutes to throw it together though so I just put the whole chicken breasts in the crockpot and threw the rest on top - complete with the cream cheese block straight out of the refrigerator! Ha! It turned out great anyway!
